Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iker Montrell started the match with the kick off. When Basilio Ticho came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basilio Ticho couldn't finish the play. Apolo Ramirez hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ladislao Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Matxin in the 23rd minute of play. If Ubaldo Matxin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 32 played minutes Gloria Verdinegra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Rayman. When Basilio Ticho fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Temperley's protests and gave Basilio Ticho a yellow card for diving instead. 46 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Matxin came free, but Ladislao Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Ubaldo Matxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Gloria Verdinegra AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Ezkerra made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Iker Montrell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ladislao Faro. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iker Montrell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Ezkerra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Johans. That made the score 1-2 in the 56 minute of play. Ladislao Faro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iker Montrell went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Iker Montrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ladislao Faro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubaldo Matxin's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Mariano Ezkerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Prudencio Johans. Temperley's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Ezkerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 82nd minute, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Mariano Ezkerra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Ladislao Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Matxin in the 87th minute of play. In the 95th minute Iker Montrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Montrell came free, but Ladislao Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Gloria Verdinegra AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gloria Verdinegra AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
