Tigre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RCD CARABANCHEL SAD the free kick. Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofilo Virila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Pascual Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, RCD CARABANCHEL SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Henric came free, but Bernabe Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The RCD CARABANCHEL SAD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tigre were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
