In the 6th minute Anacleto Cisco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of El Retorno de Palermo booed when Copérnico F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Froylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bartolo Pacho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Vinicio Ekhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21stth minute of the game Bartolo Pacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Copérnico F.C.'s Mauro Napier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Florin came free, but Amancio Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Copérnico F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anacleto Cisco in the 23rd minute. Eustaquio Mateus hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Sazon in the 27th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Copérnico F.C.'s Nunez Sazon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amancio Urtats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. If Amadeo Florin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Anacleto Cisco made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Urtats. El Retorno de Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Cisco made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Cornelio Itzaina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Mauro Napier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Florin in the 68th minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Florin came free, but Amancio Urtats reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Napier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelio Itzaina, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Eustaquio Mateus dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amancio Urtats, 2-4. Amancio Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nunez Sazon in the 83rd minute. Amancio Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Florin in the 84th minute of play. Cornelio Itzaina hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Copérnico F.C. played a much better game than El Retorno de Palermo and deserved their victory. The El Retorno de Palermo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
