The corner ended in Clodoveo Acuña almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Academia Club's Hermengildo Arotza did a great save. After a defensive mix-up in La Acade's zone, Tomás Kiliz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silverio Arlo came out of the goal and Tomás Kiliz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 68 played minutes La Acade got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Bingen. In the 72nd minute, Pascual Quexal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Hermengildo Arotza, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of La Acade booed when Academia Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Ritchie didn't get a good kick on the ball.
