A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Fabio Jerico dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernando Cefero, 1-0. Angelo Ciano charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Ciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Ciano to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Jerico could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Fernando Cefero made a huge save. Chacarita Jrs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Matias Eli scored to the left of an out of position Fernando Cefero, making the score, 2-0. In the 47th minute, Chacarita Jrs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jeremias Errapel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Eli to make the kick off. Florida Gulf Coast's Fabio Jerico managed to work through Chacarita Jrs's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fabio Jerico dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Florida Gulf Coast's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Matias Eli in the 56th minute. Ciro Corderun made a great header on Florida Gulf Coast's corner, it was just that Chacarita Jrs's Fernando Cefero managed to reach the ball for a save. When Carlos Neto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Florida Gulf Coast's protests and gave Carlos Neto a yellow card for diving instead. After 63 played minutes Florida Gulf Coast got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Neto. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabio Jerico in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Cefero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute Nestor Eskuin suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Albino Pasqual's late challenge caught a Chacarita Jrs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Pasqual helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Florida Gulf Coast getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Albino Pasqual hit a great ball. In the 77th match minute, Chacarita Jrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Cefero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Jerico, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Jerico in the 84th minute of play forced Chacarita Jrs's goalkeeper Fernando Cefero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game was made by Natalio Colon with Angelo Ciano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Fernando Cefero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Jerico, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florida Gulf Coast were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Chacarita Jrs's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Matias Eli took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Matias Eli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernando Cefero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Florida Gulf Coast's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
