Spectators: 145 (Terracing: 110, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Rafaela FC's Leonides Vito started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victoriano Ostots during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rafaela FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Victoriano Ostots hit a great ball. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Paul in the 10th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jorrin in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Guido Primeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rafaela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DeportivoIndependienteMDP the free kick. The supporters of DeportivoIndependienteMDP booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonides Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Paul in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aquilino Rey to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Jonas Paul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Ourente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes, Aquilino Rey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DeportivoIndependienteMDP and the Rafaela FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, DeportivoIndependienteMDP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquilino Rey to maneuver through the defense. Eustaquio Jorrin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicasio Sendoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Ourente having to interfere. After some careless play in the Rafaela FC defense, Eustaquio Jorrin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of German Ourente. The Rafaela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that German Ourente should have stopped the shot. Enrique Brun didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonides Vito went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Victoriano Ostots took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique Brun. DeportivoIndependienteMDP's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Eustaquio Jorrin came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and German Ourente could save by the left post. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 90th minute of the match Leonides Vito completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonides Vito a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's German Ourente got control of the ball when Eustaquio Jorrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 93rd minute, DeportivoIndependienteMDP's Jonas Paul dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the DeportivoIndependienteMDP players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
