The attack was good, but when Leonel Tomi in the 58th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 64th minute, Enrique Rosalio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Anaya came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match, Leonides Vito got a very nice opportunity to score, but Astor Aureo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Tomi in the 82nd minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Astor Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Leonides Vito took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Astor Aureo to make any attempt to save it. The Rafaela FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
