Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amancio Anaya started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute of the match Ramiro Erramu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Astor Aureo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabio Filipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Anaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Amancio Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Messina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Anaya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amancio Anaya in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabio Filipo saved Mi querida Fabiola from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Ezequiel Argenis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Aureo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Lino Belo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mi querida Fabiola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lino Belo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Deportivo Messina booed when Mi querida Fabiola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Victoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amancio Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Filipo having to interfere. Amancio Anayas short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Fabio Filipo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th match minute, Mi querida Fabiola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Froilan Birila to maneuver through the defense. Lino Belo struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Astor Aureo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mi querida Fabiola. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Messina's Rosendo Sarracino got a free kick in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Osoro in the 43rd minute of play forced Deportivo Messina's goalkeeper Astor Aureo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Ezequiel Argenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Astor Aureo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lino Belo to make the kick off. Rosendo Sarracino charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rosendo Sarracino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 57 played minutes Deportivo Messina got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Sarracino. 66 minutes into the match, Lino Belo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Astor Aureo. Deportivo Messina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lino Belo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Astor Aureo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Argenis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Messina's Astor Aureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Argenis in the 76th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Anaya in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabio Filipo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deportivo Messina's Benito Martinez got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Mi querida Fabiola's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Anaya came free, but Fabio Filipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fabio Filipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Deportivo Messina defense, Lino Belo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Aureo. The Deportivo Messina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Aureo should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Deportivo Messina's Astor Aureo got control of the ball when Lino Belo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Astor Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino Belo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mi querida Fabiola walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
