Abelardo Ermengol was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Abelardo Ermengol hit a great ball. When Donato Gorbea came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the ★Independiente Ψ★ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Gorbea couldn't finish the play. In the 8th match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Gilesindo to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Taurino hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Lorenzo Gentza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Uriel Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Gorbea in the 21st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Eugenio Raymon got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute Jonatan Gregory shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Raymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Diagur kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Armando Tello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Uriel Raymon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in ★Independiente Ψ★ reached it. Armando Tello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Uriel Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Donato Gorbea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Uriel Raymon. Velez Sarsfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Gorbea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 44 played minutes ★Independiente Ψ★ got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Raymon. Velez Sarsfield's Arsenio Dalmai couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 45th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ★Independiente Ψ★. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isaac Marcones to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Isaac Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Gentza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Gentza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Gregory got free with Uriel Raymon in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 73 minutes, Armando Tello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ★Independiente Ψ★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Tello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonatan Gregory could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Uriel Raymon made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in ★Independiente Ψ★ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! ★Independiente Ψ★:s Lorenzo Gentza showed great skill when he stopped Arsenio Dalmai:s penalty. If Jonatan Gregory had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donato Gorbea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Benicio Diagur hit a great ball. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Uriel Raymon got control of the ball when Jonatan Gregory tried to sneak it across the goal line. Uriel Raymon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Gorbea, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Tello got free with Uriel Raymon in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over ★Independiente Ψ★ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Velez Sarsfield throughout the match.
