When Anibal Oroitz fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiadores's protests and gave Anibal Oroitz a yellow card for diving instead. Anibal Oroitz hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 8 played minutes Gladiadores got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Veremundo. 10 minutes into the match, Claudio Iturri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Foro. Deportivo Tachito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudio Iturri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 14th minute Claudio Iturri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Foro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonatan Llanos charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonatan Llanos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Claudio Iturri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armando Foro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Deportivo Tachito getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jimeno Elodio hit a great ball. Armando Foro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Manilan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Foro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentino Gonchan went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Gladiadores's Zacarias Pero got control of the ball when Gavino Martino tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Ildefonso Ladio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Evelio Baristo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The supporters of Gladiadores booed when Deportivo Tachito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Ladio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Elodio came free, but Zacarias Pero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Florentino Gonchan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Foro. Deportivo Tachito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentino Gonchan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Armando Foro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Iturri, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evelio Manilan made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Evelio Manilan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gladiadores and the Deportivo Tachito players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gladiadores's Evelio Manilan got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 65th minute, Gaspar Markel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jimeno Elodio in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Pero saved Gladiadores from getting behind. Armando Foro made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Claudio Iturri sent off a good shot on target. In the 75th minute, Aureliano Eusko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Tachito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Jimeno Elodio took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Pero. Zacarias Pero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Justino Feliz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Paulo Vela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Deportivo Tachito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Llanos to maneuver through the defense. The Gladiadores supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gladiadores would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
