The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Berreta booed when ★Independiente Ψ★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ildefonso Barea didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Cordarrel in the 5th minute of play forced Berreta's goalkeeper Gavino Danel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gavino Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Cordarrel in the 6th minute of play. Lorenzo Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berreta's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Conrado Eliazar scored to the left of an out of position Gavino Danel, making the score, 1-0. Nestor Cordarrels short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Gavino Danel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 20th minute, Dante Joseph hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavino Danel had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Nestor Cordarrel from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Lorenzo Gentza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Cortez in the 25th minute of play. In the 31st match minute, ★Independiente Ψ★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Cordarrel to maneuver through the defense. Prudencio Cortez's late challenge caught a ★Independiente Ψ★'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prudencio Cortez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Berreta getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Prudencio Cortez hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Atilano Gasteiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lorenzo Gentza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Danel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Cordarrel in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Jose Chucho made the kick off in the second half. Lorenzo Gentza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prudencio Cortez in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Cortez in the 57th minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Lorenzo Gentza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Honorato Taurino had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. If Nestor Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 67th minute of the match Prudencio Cortez completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Prudencio Cortez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 67th match minute, Berreta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prudencio Cortez to maneuver through the defense. Arnoldo Frascuelo's late challenge caught a Berreta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnoldo Frascuelo helped the player get up and apologised. Atilano Gasteiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Gentza having to interfere. Conrado Eliazar kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jose Chucho got free with Lorenzo Gentza in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. ★Independiente Ψ★'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
