When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Astor Chago sped through chacarita juniors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rene Goren. Fernando Cisco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Urtun in the 9th minute of play. Marcos Merexildo kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Rene Goren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Astor Chago's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Rene Goren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Astor Chago went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to chacarita juniors getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Nicanor Olando hit a great ball. Astor Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rene Goren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Chago came free, but Rene Goren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Vipos FC booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Merexildo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vipos FC's Fernando Cisco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prudencio Vedillo in the 40th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zacarias Urtun was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Vipos FC defense, Zacarias Urtun kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Cisco. The Vipos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Cisco should have stopped the shot. In the 61st match minute, Vipos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Oliverio to maneuver through the defense. In the 67thth minute of the game Astor Chago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but chacarita juniors's Rene Goren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zacarias Urtun had several of the Vipos FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 71 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Fernando Cisco as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fernando Cisco came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by chacarita juniors's Zacarias Urtun. But to his dismay, Zacarias Urtun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Rene Goren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Astor Chago's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Bernardo Kauldi hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute of the match Urbano Terciero shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Cisco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the last second Fernando Cisco throw himself and got hold of the ball when Zacarias Urtun in the 95thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The Vipos FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing chacarita juniors to win.
