With a little luck, Mapovihesa FC's Genaro Osoro got control of the ball when Damián Akerman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Zeledon Hug recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Genaro Osoro. Zeledon Hug showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

If Damián Akerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Eustacio Beremundo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genaro Osoro was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 59 minutes into the game, Santiago Scalarandi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mapovihesa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1947 FC the free kick. Herman Scalarandi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Mauro Beccari made a huge save. Mauro Beccari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herman Scalarandi, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Herman Scalarandi kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Mapovihesa FC made a substitution. Vladimiro Lordi replaced Nestor Scalarandi. In the 89th match minute, Mapovihesa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herman Scalarandi to maneuver through the defense. Many of Mapovihesa FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mapovihesa FC may have spent more time on the ball, but 1947 FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
