Hugo Ceandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Abella having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Bernardo Inautzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gonzalo Mambru. 12 minutes into the game, Enrique Monico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consejo del Mate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INDEPENDIENTE F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Consejo del Mate's Enrique Monico got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Vladimiro Sugar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Emiliano Abreu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Librado in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeronimo Abella prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gonzalo Mambru's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Bernardo Inautzi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Consejo del Mate's zone, Tomas Mikeldi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Inautzi came out of the goal and Tomas Mikeldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute Arnaldo Librado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Tomas Mikeldi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. INDEPENDIENTE F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Librado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeronimo Abella was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Librado to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes INDEPENDIENTE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Martin Herrera. 55 minutes into the game, Noël León was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Consejo del Mate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INDEPENDIENTE F.C. the free kick. In the 55th minute, Noël León hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emiliano Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. A collision led to INDEPENDIENTE F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Leon Aragones hit a great ball. Marcos Betadur hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Consejo del Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Mambru came free, but Bernardo Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnaldo Librado in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jeronimo Abella, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arnaldo Librado struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jeronimo Abella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Consejo del Mate. Gonzalo Mambru charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Mambru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emiliano Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Consejo del Mate left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than INDEPENDIENTE F.C..
