Rigoberto Olayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Egoitz during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to 1947 FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Moises Obano hit a great ball. With a little luck, Talleres's Rigoberto Olayo got control of the ball when Zeledon Hug tried to sneak it across the goal line. Higinio Dolfo struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ricardo Nicholas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Talleres. Hermengildo Cesario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelino Sadurni hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Zeledon Hug struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Rigoberto Olayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1947 FC. 44 minutes into the match, Talleres's goalkeeper Rigoberto Olayo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zeledon Hug. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hermengildo Cesario to strike the kick off in the second half. When Maximo Solustiano fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Talleres's protests and gave Maximo Solustiano a yellow card for diving instead. 53 minutes into the match, Talleres's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Egoitz came free, but Rigoberto Olayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Maria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ricardo Nicholas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliano Rius took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rigoberto Olayo. Rigoberto Olayo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 65 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Dolfo. Talleres's Rigoberto Olayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Egoitz in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute Zeledon Hug shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Olayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Erramu. The supporters of 1947 FC booed when Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Maria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermengildo Cesario got free with Ricardo Nicholas in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Chuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alejandro Duarte hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ulises Xacintu kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Rigoberto Olayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Hug, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Talleres's Abelardo Maria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Nicholas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Abel Egoitz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 1947 FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Rigoberto Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Chuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. 1947 FC had won after a very even match.
