The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 3 in the game by Gonzalo Oso from a close distance when the talented Gogo Pes managed to make a qualified save. Santa Maradona's players were relieved. Santa Maradona's Gogo Pes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Oso in the 5th minute of play. When Victor Jaunti fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santa Maradona's protests and gave Victor Jaunti a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Santa Maradona got a freekick which was hit by Victor Jaunti. In the 8th minute Aurelio Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gogo Pes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucio Macias struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Serafin Haitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Maradona. 10 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Oso came free, but Gogo Pes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 13 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Azeari. Gogo Pes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Sergi in the 15th minute. With his leg Gogo Pes managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when O rey Iván's Cayetano Sergi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 31st minute, Melquiades Manex made a precise shot to the right of Serafin Haitz. O rey Iván's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 34th minute, Gonzalo Oso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Santa Maradona's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelio Paio came free, but Gogo Pes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucio Macias to make the kick off. Lucio Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Haitz having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Cesar Azeari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gogo Pes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 76th match minute, Santa Maradona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Macias to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Sergi in the 80th minute of play forced Santa Maradona's goalkeeper Gogo Pes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Lucio Macias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Haitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cayetano Sergi scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Pes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The O rey Iván players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
