The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Narciso Mikelats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Canor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led SAN MARTIN F.C.'s Bernardino Ospin to fire away a dangerous shot which Narciso Mikelats despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Narciso Mikelats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Cordera, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Simon Canor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Mikelats. Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simon Canor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 14th minute Manuel Cordera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Mikelats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Alvaro Eufrasio put in a rough tackle. In the 18th minute, Alvaro Eufrasio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Buinton came free, but Maximiliano Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Jairo Ritchie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SAN MARTIN F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ the free kick. After 20 played minutes SAN MARTIN F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Ritchie. 24 minutes into the game, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Leandro Buinton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximiliano Astudillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. A collision led to SAN MARTIN F.C. getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Alejo Txurio hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Seber in the 29th minute of play forced SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's Zeledon Umbruso got a free kick in the 33rd minute. If Jairo Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Seber. In the 40th minute of the match Bernardino Ospin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Narciso Mikelats skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Ospin in the 44th minute of play forced Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ's goalkeeper Narciso Mikelats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leandro Buinton to make the kick off. Maximiliano Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Narciso Mikelats didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Canor went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 73 minutes into the match, SAN MARTIN F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Loreto came free, but Maximiliano Astudillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SAN MARTIN F.C. booed when Ѱ Nuevo Dragón Rojo FC Ѱ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Seber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Mikelats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Roland in the 79th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
