The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Octavio Senio put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Placido Bilintx. After a defensive mix-up in Club Sportivo Italiano's zone, Alonzo Neron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Martino came out of the goal and Alonzo Neron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonzo Neron in the 8th minute of play. Octavio Senio came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Placido Bilintx could save by the left post. 14 minutes into the game, Fermin Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Sportivo Italiano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Freezerpool FC the free kick. After 14 played minutes Club Sportivo Italiano got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Torres. Ricardo Eusko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rafael Martino. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Freezerpool FC's goalkeeper Placido Bilintx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fermin Torres. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when Freezerpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Fidensio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 22 in the game by Octavio Senio from a close distance when the talented Placido Bilintx managed to make a qualified save. Freezerpool FC's players were relieved. 33 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's Octavio Senio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Placido Bilintx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gavino Fidensio to strike the kick off in the second half. Gavino Fidensio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Martino having to interfere. Octavio Senio took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Bilintx. Placido Bilintx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Rafael Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Fidensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 64th minute Octavio Senio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Bilintx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Martino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alonzo Neron went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Freezerpool FC booed when Club Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, Octavio Senio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Placido Bilintx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bonifacio Maurin during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Freezerpool FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Maurin to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Senio took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Placido Bilintx. Placido Bilintx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Rafael Martino had great luck who in the 91stth minute grab hold of the ball when Gavino Fidensio from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Placido Bilintx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Octavio Senio's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Florentino Mannie struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Placido Bilintx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportivo Italiano. Freezerpool FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
