Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Arsenio Cristos made the kick off and thus started the match. Aristides Bras took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Esdras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Esdras in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 9 minutes, Nicasio Mendebal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicasio Mendebal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Anselmo Esdras notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Caballeritos del Baile's Aristides Bras. Aristides Bras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aristides Bras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Esdras in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Esdras in the 19th minute of play forced Caballeritos del Baile's goalkeeper Aristides Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Ceferino Truylos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Narciso Jerrald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceferino Truylos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Cristos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Quin came free, but Narciso Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Leandro Gaufred left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caballeritos del Baile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anselmo Esdras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aristides Bras made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Nicasio Mendebal sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER's zone, Zeledon Quin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Jerrald came out of the goal and Zeledon Quin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Feliberto Sadurni was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes RIVER got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Sadurni. Narciso Jerrald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Gaufred in the 68th minute of the match. Anselmo Esdras received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aristides Bras came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Esdras slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 72nd minute. Honorato Astigar charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Honorato Astigar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Honorato Astigar hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. The supporters of RIVER booed when Caballeritos del Baile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Iaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
