The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Timoteo Obano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Quintin in the 19th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Cleto Iaki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pan FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guansa the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Hori in the 27th minute of play forced Pan FC's goalkeeper Anastasio Mikeldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Rubio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleto Iaki to strike the kick off in the second half. Hector Gaur struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Timoteo Obano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pan FC. When Uriel Hori fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guansa's protests and gave Uriel Hori a yellow card for diving instead.
