Gualterio Salvator could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Alonzo Baristo made a huge save. Pascual Cordaryal kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Blas Oto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Bidari came out of the goal and Blas Oto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Justo Solustiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alonzo Baristo. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Justo Solustiano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Baristo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Gualterio Salvator hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute German Uhin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Baristo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Claris during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Segundo Claris hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Felipe Izotz got a free kick in the 30th minute. Victorino Viator struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Domingo Bidari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KYRA FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Transito in the 37th minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Domingo Bidari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingo Bidari made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Machado in the 44th minute of play. Dante Machado's late challenge caught a Independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Machado helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Independiente booed when KYRA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Independiente's Domingo Bidari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them.
