The long shot by Blas Endura in the 19th minute really tested Joaquin Chumo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Marciano Arotza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Domingo Bidari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualterio Salvator struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Joaquin Chumo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente. After a rather tough play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Elias Odilon got a free kick in the 24th minute. Domingo Bidari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Urbasa in the 26th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Flavio Urbasa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Independiente's Domingo Bidari. Domingo Bidari was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gualterio Salvator hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Independiente's German Uhin got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Joaquin Chumo got control of the ball when Gualterio Salvator tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joaquin Chumo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Uhin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualterio Salvator to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Los Hijos de Doña Beija got a freekick which was hit by Fulgencio Chan. Domingo Bidari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Peli in the 54th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Flavio Urbasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Bidari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Salvator hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Domingo Bidari had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marciano Arotza. Domingo Bidari made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Marciano Arotza sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Independiente's German Uhin got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Marciano Arotza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Domingo Bidari. That made the score 0-4 in the 77 minute of play. German Uhin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Bidari having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Peli came free, but Domingo Bidari reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute of the match Gabriel Berbiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joaquin Chumo skillfully saved the ball. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
