Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brian Aguirre got the match started through his kick off. Ariel Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Aurken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th minute Yala were awarded a corner. Abelardo Obano went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sporting de Gijón's goalie and right to Fulgencio Lore. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sporting de Gijón's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 9th minute Filiberto Formerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Aurken. Angelino Pelagius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Valentin Eguntsenti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Eguntsenti made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Brian Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Apolo Sarracino hit a great ball. Ariel Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Joey in the 31st minute of play. Ulises Tello's late challenge caught a Sporting de Gijón's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulises Tello helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Yala getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ulises Tello hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Cristobal Aurken had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Urbasa. Sporting de Gijón's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristobal Aurken was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 39 minutes into the game, Cristobal Aurken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ariel Urbasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 50th play minutes Cristobal Aurken shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Ariel Urbasa and just under the crossbar into goal. After the first half Yala were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliberto Joey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 61 minutes, Brian Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Aguirre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Feliberto Joey during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 64 played minutes Yala got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Joey. After a defensive mix-up in Yala's zone, Brian Aguirre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Eguntsenti came out of the goal and Brian Aguirre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 72 minutes into the game, Feliberto Joey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ariel Urbasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brian Aguirre hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Valentin Eguntsenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Aguirre, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliberto Joey got free with Ariel Urbasa in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angelino Pelagius kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Feliberto Joey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ariel Urbasa having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelino Pelagius during the 100th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angelino Pelagius hit a great freekick 100 minutes into the match. Yala's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
