After a defensive mix-up in EL CORTO FC's zone, Romulo Lleir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Gaur came out of the goal and Romulo Lleir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Txindoki during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CAI NEUQUEN booed when EL CORTO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Gaur was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gonzalo Hartz. If Romulo Lleir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of CAI NEUQUEN booed when EL CORTO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fermin Aznar took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Gaur. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Aznar got free with Flavio Gaur in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fermin Aznar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Flavio Gaur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fermin Aznar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 40th playminute. In the 43rd minute of the match, Mario Costante tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Flavio Gaur saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. EL CORTO FC's Flavio Gaur proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save EL CORTO FC from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fermin Aznar was the one to do the kick off. After 78th play minutes Fermin Aznar shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Flavio Gaur and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ambrosio Felipo in the 82nd minute of play forced EL CORTO FC's goalkeeper Flavio Gaur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Nuñez in the 85th minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Rodrigo Lalla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute Fermin Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Gaur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Fermin Aznar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Gaur was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
