Donato Tiso had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Godofredo Txema's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Berni y Benja FC's Gavino Benvide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donato Tiso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavino Benvide during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Matteo in the 20th minute of play forced Liberland's goalkeeper Donato Tiso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Jose Salvatore mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Liberland and the Berni y Benja FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Liberland getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jose Salvatore hit a great ball. Liberland's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Artemio Abascal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The Berni y Benja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Maximo Izel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berni y Benja FC's Celestino Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Isaio in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Artemio Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donato Tiso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute of the match, Artemio Abascal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donato Tiso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Artemio Abascal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th match minute, Liberland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Salvatore to maneuver through the defense. Donato Tiso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Abascal in the 93rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Liberland defense, Maximo Izel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donato Tiso. The Liberland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donato Tiso should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Berni y Benja FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Liberland.
