The referee ignored Newpi Academy's protests and gave Prudencio Noe a yellow card for diving instead. Prudencio Noe kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After 14 played minutes, alvarado's Marcelo Cresenciano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aquilino Nuñez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in alvarado reached it. Victor Matteo took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Nuñez. In the 29th minute, Fabio Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's Sixto Richie broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Martin Romelio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixto Richie in the 34th minute of play forced alvarado's goalkeeper Martin Romelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aquilino Nuñez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Newpi Academy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Newpi Academy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
