After 15 played minutes The Cavern Club got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Macias. LTA FC's Roberto Oliverio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save LTA FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of The Cavern Club booed when LTA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Javiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Oliverio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basilio Lorien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Oliverio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Lorien in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Otsoko in the 26th minute of play forced LTA FC's goalkeeper Roberto Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Huly kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ariel Cisco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tomás Esiquio. The Cavern Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomás Esiquio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Hernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Cavern Club's Basilio Lorien got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martín Cabezon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roberto Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauro Luix to make the kick off. Roberto Oliverio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermegildo Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Genaro Iliana fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Oliverio came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by The Cavern Club's Mauro Luix. But to his dismay, Mauro Luix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tomás Esiquio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lázaro Ayala, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ermegildo Otsoko managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Cavern Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Otsoko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Oliverio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ubaldo Beltxe charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Beltxe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Cavern Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LTA FC the free kick. Ariel Cisco hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Mauro Luix shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Oliverio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomás Esiquio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Cisco in the 85th minute. Ermegildo Otsoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Oliverio having to interfere. The Cavern Club's Martín Cabezon got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match Fidel Enaut shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Esiquio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 95 minutes into the match, The Cavern Club's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Cristofol came free, but Tomás Esiquio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, LTA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Otsoko came free, but Roberto Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee ended the match the The Cavern Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
