Spectators: 160 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Martín Palermo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 2nd match minute, The Cavern Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Vincente to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Abelardo Bortzaioriz hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 7th minute, Ermegildo Otsoko made a precise shot to the right of Romeo Dorio. Vaqueteros FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of The Cavern Club booed when Vaqueteros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Bortzaioriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martín Cabezon in the 10th minute of play forced Vaqueteros FC's goalkeeper Romeo Dorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes of play, The Cavern Club's Victoriano Rojelio made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeo Dorio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomás Esiquio acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 30th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Abelardo Bortzaioriz. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martín Palermo in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeo Dorio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute The Cavern Club were awarded a corner. Martín Cabezon went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Martín Cabezon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeo Dorio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Romeo Dorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martín Palermo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Vaqueteros FC's Dario Suarez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tomás Esiquio. That made the score 1-3 after 45 minutes of play.

The Cavern Club made a substitution. Basilio Lorien replaced Ermegildo Otsoko. When Dario Suarez fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vaqueteros FC's protests and gave Dario Suarez a yellow card for diving instead. Romeo Dorio was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Basilio Lorien capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Basilio Lorien really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Fidel Macias hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Ernesto Claris hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vaqueteros FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Dario Suarez hit a great ball. Vaqueteros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Apolo Dimas scored to the left of an out of position Romeo Dorio, making the score, 1-5. Dario Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Suarez in the 82nd minute of play forced The Cavern Club's goalkeeper Tomás Esiquio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vaqueteros FC's zone, Martín Palermo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeo Dorio came out of the goal and Martín Palermo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 88th match minute, Vaqueteros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Gauargi to maneuver through the defense. Martín Palermo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Romeo Dorio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Cavern Club. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusebio Larpe during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eusebio Larpe hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Tomás Esiquio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlando Fanuco in the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the The Cavern Club defense, Orlando Fanuco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomás Esiquio. The The Cavern Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomás Esiquio should have stopped the shot.
