The audience was convinced that Agustin Caton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Benet was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Agustin Caton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alonzo Benet. That made the score 0-2 in the 95 minute of play. The C. S. Peron y Belgrano supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C. S. Peron y Belgrano would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
