After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Federico Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Mandiyu's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baldomero Obano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delmar Quintin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Mark in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of Dionisia booed when Deportivo Mandiyu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Barrionuevo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Dionisia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Arnaldo Lop hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Delmar Quintin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camilo Duardo. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Anaya was the one to do the kick off. Baldomero Obano came out of the goal and Federico Anaya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 87 minutes, Niceto Tipi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dionisia and the Deportivo Mandiyu players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 87 played minutes Dionisia got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Tipi. Deportivo Mandiyu's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
