In the 4th minute, Intriago Saldivar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnathon Gallo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dexter Jeffers struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Mendez Gamones didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mankato. Johnathon Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erwin Avellano in the 9th minute of play. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Intriago Saldivar in the 11th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erwin Avellano in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnathon Gallo saved Mankato from getting behind. Erwin Avellano scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of YerBaTerOs booed when Mankato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Schulz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Intriago Saldivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Intriago Saldivar in the 27th minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th match minute, Mankato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monty McBride to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Salas Justo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathon Gallo. Mankato's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Salas Justo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the Mankato defense, Rosero Castillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathon Gallo. The Mankato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathon Gallo should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Norman Bergman made a kick off. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Avellano in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of YerBaTerOs booed when Mankato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cliff Schulz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rosero Castillo kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Mankato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarrod Langston to maneuver through the defense. Ambrossi Afraga charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrossi Afraga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, YerBaTerOs's Ambrossi Afraga got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute Intriago Saldivar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded YerBaTerOs left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mankato.
