Cliff Schulz was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 4 minutes into the match. The referee gave Seven Tempest FC a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Nando Carradelo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mankato's Johnathon Gallo. 0-1. Johnathon Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Vizcarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Vizcarra in the 14th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Paco Polanco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mankato's Johnathon Gallo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute Gonzalo Vizcarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paco Polanco in the 20th minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathon Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gonzalo Vizcarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Norman Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaizko Gao having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Urtsin Cadrecha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johnathon Gallo. Urtsin Cadrecha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Johnathon Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raimundo Vasco in the 64th minute of the match. With his leg Johnathon Gallo managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Seven Tempest FC's Gonzalo Vizcarra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Johnathon Gallo was a little too slow when Urtsin Cadrecha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 0-6. 79 minutes into the match, Seven Tempest FC's goal looked a bit too open when Norman Bergman came free, but Gaizko Gao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnathon Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Vasco in the 81st minute of play. Urtsin Cadrecha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathon Gallo having to interfere. Paco Polanco came free with the goalkeeper in the 86th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Johnathon Gallo could save by the left post. Johnathon Gallo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Vizcarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Mankato's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paco Polanco fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Mankato defense, Urtsin Cadrecha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathon Gallo. The Mankato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathon Gallo should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the game, Urtsin Cadrecha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seven Tempest FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mankato the free kick. Urtsin Cadrecha kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Seven Tempest FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mankato throughout the match.
