The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. German Vozmediano made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mankato's Monty McBride. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocio Camerin in the 4th minute of play forced Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Loreto Astonzas scored 0-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Gallo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Rocio Camerin in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mankato's goalie prevented a goal. Dante Guridi's late challenge caught a Mankato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Guridi helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to VERDOLAGA CITY FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dante Guridi hit a great ball. Dexter Jeffers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Bazan having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Benat Trasloseros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute, Monty McBride hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Loreto Astonzas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Johnathon Gallo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cliff Schulz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When Xamo Andujar came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the VERDOLAGA CITY FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xamo Andujar couldn't finish the play. Dexter Jeffers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Mankato players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. VERDOLAGA CITY FC were winning 0-4.

Johnathon Gallo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benat Trasloseros in the 52nd minute of the match. Johnathon Gallo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loreto Astonzas in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Mankato's Neil Chavez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Neil Chavez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mankato protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Neil Chavez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Neil Chavez hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Rocio Camerin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Mankato got a freekick which was hit by Cliff Schulz. In the 72nd minute Loreto Astonzas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norman Bergman hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, Loreto Astonzas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Johnathon Gallo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 85 minutes into the match, Mankato's goalkeeper Johnathon Gallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loreto Astonzas. After 86 played minutes Mankato got a freekick which was hit by Monty McBride. In the 87th minute, VERDOLAGA CITY FC's Loreto Astonzas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johnathon Gallo. Johnathon Gallo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Mankato's Johnathon Gallo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loreto Astonzas in the 91st minute of play. Jarrod Langston hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Rocio Camerin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Gallo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. VERDOLAGA CITY FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
