After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Dannes Asuaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mohammed Cagle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dani Rapino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 39 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's Clinton Starnes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Rapino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Robbie Parson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 minutes, Polo Bellogin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Guayaquil.F.C. and the S.D. Bajen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Real Guayaquil.F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Polo Bellogin hit a great ball.

Dani Rapino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odell McPherson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Odell McPherson took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Dani Rapino to make any attempt to save it. Mohammed Cagle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urrutia Iruretagoyena in the 58th minute of play. Mohammed Cagle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Polo Bellogin in the 63rd minute of the match. S.D. Bajen's Mohammed Cagle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polo Bellogin in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Will Patrick during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to S.D. Bajen getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Will Patrick hit a great ball. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.D. Bajen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Polo Bellogin was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Polo Bellogin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mohammed Cagle quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 72 played minutes Real Guayaquil.F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Calona. 73 minutes into the match, S.D. Bajen's Odell McPherson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Valentim Aliprando's late challenge caught a S.D. Bajen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentim Aliprando helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of S.D. Bajen booed when Real Guayaquil.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentim Aliprando didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Polo Bellogin in the 82nd minute of play forced S.D. Bajen's goalkeeper Mohammed Cagle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s goalkeeper Dani Rapino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clinton Starnes.
