The supporters of Atletico Patoruzu booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sarbelio Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roosevelt Sullivan scored 1-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Deris Jimenez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Chance Womack hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Lucero during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roosevelt Sullivan was the one to do the kick off. Ivan Lucero struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Deris Jimenez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atletico Patoruzu. In the 58th match minute, Club Deportivo Águila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Noyola to maneuver through the defense. Deris Jimenez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roosevelt Sullivan in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Camilo Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Águila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Patoruzu the free kick. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Camilo Torres got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Marcelo-Luis Master shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Deris Jimenez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Atletico Patoruzu getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Merlin Whitley hit a great ball. Julio Hurtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Trey Randle made a huge save. Chance Womack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when Atletico Patoruzu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Lucero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Zapata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Atletico Patoruzu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
