Hugo Mejia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inacio Tordesillas went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Mesere's Hustaz Cedron in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye C.A. GUAYACO's goalie prevented a goal. Hustaz Cedron hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Inacio Tordesillas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hugo Mejia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Suero Afraga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mesere and the C.A. GUAYACO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C.A. GUAYACO booed when Mesere was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Suero Afraga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Vela Garros managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. GUAYACO's supporters rose to their feet, but Vela Garros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iker Simon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute, one of C.A. GUAYACO:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for C.A. GUAYACO. 44 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Hustaz Cedron came free, but Hugo Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Hustaz Cedron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The supporters of Mesere booed when C.A. GUAYACO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víctor Urioste didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaunzuria Canta during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Mesere got a freekick which was hit by Jaunzuria Canta. In the 60th minute, Hustaz Cedron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Mejia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Iker Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yader Aramberri, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Yader Aramberri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Iker Simon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mesere's Fernandez Valdivielso was substituted for Machado Enao. 69 minutes into the match, C.A. GUAYACO's goal looked a bit too open when Inacio Tordesillas came free, but Hugo Mejia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iker Simon came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by C.A. GUAYACO's Vela Garros. But to his dismay, Vela Garros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Hustaz Cedron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Hugo Mejia made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inacio Tordesillas in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Mejia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Mesere's Inacio Tordesillas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hugo Mejia. Hugo Mejia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. In the 88th minute Inacio Tordesillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Wilmer Villerias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
