Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hernán Gamboa started the match with the kick off. union española s.a.'s Orlondón Marcou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarrett Poirier in the 7th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Jarrett Poirier notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of union española s.a.'s Orlondón Marcou. Orlondón Marcou was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to union española s.a. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Juan Soloaga hit a great ball. Vancouver Reds's Quincy Minor got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Quincy Minor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vancouver Reds's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Minor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But to his dismay, Quincy Minor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 48 minutes into the match, union española s.a.'s goal looked a bit too open when Jarrett Poirier came free, but Orlondón Marcou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Vancouver Reds's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfred Prince in the 55th minute. With a little luck, union española s.a.'s Orlondón Marcou got control of the ball when Jarrett Poirier tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vancouver Reds's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
