Justo Umea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Ponce Bollo got a free kick in the 6th minute. Zeledon Bravain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Basajaun in the 7th minute of the match. Liga de Quito's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ismael Iratxo 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Tadeo Basajaun charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeo Basajaun the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21st match minute, Kesoku FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Basajaun to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kesoku FC's zone, Ponce Bollo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Umea came out of the goal and Ponce Bollo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, Kesoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Mascareñas came free, but Justo Umea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduardo Mascareñas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justo Umea having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Kesoku FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ponce Bollo came free, but Justo Umea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Ponce Bollo notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Kesoku FC's Justo Umea. Justo Umea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 36 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Urrutia Tacon. In the 37th minute of the match Edelmiro Brion shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zeledon Bravain showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Justo Umea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponce Bollo in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Kesoku FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alvaro Velasco hit a great ball. Zeledon Bravain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Iratxo in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Mascareñas was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Urrutia Tacon got a free kick in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponce Bollo in the 60th minute of play forced Kesoku FC's goalkeeper Justo Umea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Kesoku FC's goalkeeper Justo Umea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Mascareñas. In the 65th minute Liga de Quito were awarded a corner. Urrutia Tacon went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Urrutia Tacon almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kesoku FC's Justo Umea did a great save. Zeledon Bravain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Brion in the 66th minute of the match. When Ponce Bollo came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ponce Bollo couldn't finish the play. Justo Umea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eduardo Mascareñas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 70 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kesoku FC's zone, Ponce Bollo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justo Umea came out of the goal and Ponce Bollo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduardo Mascareñas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Justo Umea firmly grabbed it by the left post. Justo Umea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponce Bollo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Justo Umea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Velasco Ilarraza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 80 minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Velasco Ilarraza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Liga de Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kesoku FC the free kick. Velasco Ilarraza kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Edelmiro Brion came free, but Zeledon Bravain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Justo Umea had great luck who in the 87thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ponce Bollo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 88th minute, Ismael Iratxo made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Bravain. Liga de Quito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Liga de Quito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edelmiro Brion was slow to take the kick. During this time Kesoku FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Edelmiro Brion got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeledon Bravain quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match was over Liga de Quito could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kesoku FC throughout the match.
