Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rodrigo Ostadar got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Liga de Quito booed when San Pablo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Ostadar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Mascareñas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeruko Freije was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 11 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, one of Liga de Quito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liga de Quito. Liga de Quito:s Zeledon Bravain showed great skill when he stopped Eustacio Toli:s penalty. Zeledon Bravain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Cesaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When San Pablo FC's Victoriano Feo in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Liga de Quito's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to San Pablo FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Bruno Romildo hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Liga de Quito's Leandro Cianca dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Cianca in the 34th minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Fausto Martxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Filiberto Berenguer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Pablo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liga de Quito the free kick. Filiberto Berenguer kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Zeledon Bravain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Leandro Cianca made the kick off in the second half. 68 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Zeledon Bravain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Cesaro. After having played for 75 minutes, Leandro Cianca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liga de Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Cianca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Liga de Quito's Zeledon Bravain got control of the ball when Cipriano Cesaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Cipriano Cesaro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Leandro Cianca came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Liga de Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Cianca couldn't finish the play. Cipriano Cesaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Estrada Llantada. In the 96th minute, Cipriano Cesaro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Bravain was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Liga de Quito had won after a very even match.
