The referee showed Tadeo Abarca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th match minute, The Old Boys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tadeo Abarca to maneuver through the defense. Adelio Palomino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Bartoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 38th minute Gogo Oskitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelio Palomino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gogo Oskitz took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adelio Palomino. Adelio Palomino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After some careless play in the Dragones Celestes defense, Gogo Oskitz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adelio Palomino. The Dragones Celestes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adelio Palomino should have stopped the shot. Dragones Celestes's Adelio Palomino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Bartoli in the 48th minute of play. After the first half The Old Boys were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blanco Pazols made a kick off. The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Justo Perpinya put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of The Old Boys:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dragones Celestes:s goal. In the 80th minute Gogo Oskitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelio Palomino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
