If Ulises Irabien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Gamboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romo Breton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Romo Breton took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Pierre Gamboa to make any attempt to save it. Arnaldo Schiller scored 1-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asensio Riego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pierre Gamboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romo Breton in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the game Sergio Brieba made a throw-in which Raymundo Monroy played forward. In the 35th minute Romo Breton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Gamboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Asensio Riego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Schiller in the 40th minute of the match. After having played for 45 minutes, Ulises Irabien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GiudeCCa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Irabien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, GiudeCCa's Pierre Gamboa threw himself towards the right post 48 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Romo Breton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romo Breton to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 66thth minute of the game Romo Breton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Capo de Provincia's Pierre Gamboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Romo Breton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pierre Gamboa was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Ulises Irabien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
