CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save CD Municipal from getting a goal against them. CD Municipal were furious when Geraldo Ayaso was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sarracino Mandiola to make the kick off.
