Oliviero Vados showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponciano Bobis, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, E L C O K O F C ® E V G ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Lapurdi Collazo came free, but Oliviero Vados reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lapurdi Collazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 14th minute, Perutxo Diego left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of CD Municipal booed when E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Taramona didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Sesma hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Lapurdi Collazo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Sindo Reñe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Sagastia in the 39th minute of play. Burutzagi Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perutxo Diego in the 41st minute of play. Lapurdi Collazo hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the CD Municipal defense, Perutxo Diego kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Burutzagi Romero. The CD Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Burutzagi Romero should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Telmo Castejon hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Castejon. Burutzagi Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perutxo Diego in the 55th minute of play. Burutzagi Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubio Echaitia in the 59th minute. Jairo Taramona hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a little luck, CD Municipal's Burutzagi Romero got control of the ball when Francisco Sesma tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th match minute, CD Municipal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sindo Reñe to maneuver through the defense. Kemen Zalon hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute Perutxo Diego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burutzagi Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mambru Entrala fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Municipal's protests and gave Mambru Entrala a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Mambru Entrala hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Perutxo Diego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burutzagi Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched E L C O K O F C ® E V G ® eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
