The referee ignored Ajax Colombiano's protests and gave Blanco Trabeso a yellow card for diving instead. Blanco Trabeso hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Artizar Vede took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mancio Arana. Ajax Colombiano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 41st minute, Ajax Colombiano's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Estebano Reganado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
