The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Deportivo Empate's Nicholas Abello got control of the ball when Javier Barricat tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Deportivo Empate getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Osoro Abellaneda hit a great ball. In the 11th minute of the match Pedro Coz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicholas Abello showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Red Reign's Virgilio Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Celestino Abancens's late challenge caught a Red Reign's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celestino Abancens helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Empate's Celestino Abancens got a free kick in the 15th minute. The long shot by Pedro Coz in the 16th minute really tested Nicholas Abello's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Deportivo Empate's Nicholas Abello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Gargollo in the 17th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Deportivo Empate got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Abancens. Nicholas Abello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pedro Coz. A collision led to Red Reign getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bohórquez Erauzquin hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesus Gargollo in the 27th minute of play forced Deportivo Empate's goalkeeper Nicholas Abello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hernando Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Mannie Abella made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Chandivilla. Red Reign's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 42nd match minute, Deportivo Empate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mannie Abella to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jesus Gargollo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Valerio Abecia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Empate's supporters rose to their feet, but Valerio Abecia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Chandivilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Red Reign getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Javier Barricat hit a great ball.
