Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Darin Marks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliott Hatcher in the 14th minute of play forced Linterna verde's goalkeeper Selatse Mexia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Linterna verde's Selatse Mexia got control of the ball when Elliott Hatcher tried to sneak it across the goal line. C. A. Pipon Pipon's Darin Marks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaueko Sevillano in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of C. A. Pipon Pipon booed when Linterna verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benvide Marmol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Bobby Fisher dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Selatse Mexia, 1-0. Paz Arciniega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darin Marks having to interfere. In the 31st minute, C. A. Pipon Pipon's Bobby Fisher ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Selatse Mexia. Selatse Mexia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elliott Hatcher got free with Selatse Mexia in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Elliott Hatcher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selatse Mexia was a little too slow when Bobby Fisher got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in Linterna verde's zone, Bobby Fisher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selatse Mexia came out of the goal and Bobby Fisher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Bobby Fisher came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the C. A. Pipon Pipon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bobby Fisher couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Domingos Bobadilla made the kick off in the second half. Leon Baker struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Selatse Mexia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Pipon Pipon. Selatse Mexia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Carrasco in the 62nd minute of the match. Linterna verde's Paz Arciniega couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 71st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for C. A. Pipon Pipon. Darin Marks made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaueko Sevillano in the 82nd minute. Bo Carrasco kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, C. A. Pipon Pipon's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Bobadilla came free, but Darin Marks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Bo Carrasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selatse Mexia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Selatse Mexia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bo Carrasco in the 98th minute of play. C. A. Pipon Pipon's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
