The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Domingo Abeijon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Quirós in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute, Rolando Peralta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albino Abeijon during the 6th minute. When Rolando Peralta came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Buenaventura FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Peralta couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Buenaventura FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Tomaso De Diego hit a great ball. Buenaventura FC's Romel Torrijos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javiar Abadia in the 20th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Quentin Abella notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Buenaventura FC's Romel Torrijos. Romel Torrijos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christian Quirós charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Quirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Christian Quirós hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Tomaso De Diego kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Rolando Peralta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomaso De Diego during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Tomaso De Diego kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Javiar Abadia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romel Torrijos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Christian Quirós to make the kick off. Quentin Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Romel Torrijos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Buenaventura FC's Christian Quirós got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Romel Torrijos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javiar Abadia in the 66th minute of the match. Alexis Moscoso charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Domingo Abeijon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulpiano Henríguez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Quirós in the 88th minute of play forced Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goalkeeper Domingo Abeijon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elazar Abaurre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romel Torrijos having to interfere. 95 minutes into the game, Buenaventura FC's Christian Quirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingo Abeijon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Despite being the better team, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
