Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) GuateFortín's Juan Manuel Martínez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juan Mendieta kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Jaime Alvarez lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Joe Oberto. German Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Lao in the 10th minute of play. After 12 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Toto Pinilla. In the 19th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Mora to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to GuateFortín getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jaime Alvarez hit a great ball. Juan Manuel Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joe Oberto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juan Manuel Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. Toto Pinilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. German Montoya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joe Oberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Manuel Martínez in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, one of Buenaventura FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Buenaventura FC. Gabriel Brizuela walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Franklin Smith made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Maurício Pellegrino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the Buenaventura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jaime Alvarez scored 2-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joe Oberto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 58 played minutes Buenaventura FC got a freekick which was hit by Franklin Smith. Joe Oberto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
