Spectators: 161 (Terracing: 121, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Raúl Lombera took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Loren Iriarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but López Enciso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Devis Vásquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Texeira Noceda. Zoil Pardelas struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. López Enciso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MILLONARIOS FC. 15 minutes into the match, Loren Iriarte had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of López Enciso. Loja S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loren Iriarte was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zoil Pardelas in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck López Enciso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute of the match MILLONARIOS FC got a corner. Loja S.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Stanislao Brau ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led MILLONARIOS FC's Stanislao Brau to fire away a dangerous shot which López Enciso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 28th minute Raúl Lombera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devis Vásquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Lombera came free, but Devis Vásquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Loren Iriarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but López Enciso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. López Enciso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvarez Corono, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Loja S.C.'s Texeira Noceda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raúl Lombera hit a great ball. 45 minutes into the match, Alvarez Corono had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of López Enciso. Loja S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvarez Corono was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loren Iriarte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Alvarez Corono notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Loja S.C.'s López Enciso. López Enciso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. López Enciso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loren Iriarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. German Masdeu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Zoil Pardelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzales Ordoñez to maneuver through the defense. If Raúl Lombera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78thth minute of the game Loren Iriarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loja S.C.'s López Enciso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonzales Ordoñez hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Norberto Buitrago charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Buitrago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norberto Buitrago didn't get a good kick on the ball. MILLONARIOS FC's Devis Vásquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Texeira Noceda in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Venceslas Yurre in the 86th minute of play forced MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Devis Vásquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto Buitrago was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Buitrago to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loren Iriarte in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg López Enciso saved Loja S.C. from getting behind.
