The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eneko Olañeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sherwood Stjohn having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Aioros FC got a freekick which was hit by Eneko Cardarda. Efraim Mill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enrique Peterson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Sal Schultz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Peterson to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, ForestFire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Peterson to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Enrique Peterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efraim Mill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ForestFire:s Sherwood Stjohn showed great skill when he stopped Patricio Bezanilla:s penalty. Patricio Bezanilla scored 1-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sherwood Stjohn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rocio Azcoitia got free with Sherwood Stjohn in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Aioros FC's Iban Agosto got a free kick in the 76th minute. Iban Agosto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Sherwood Stjohn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ForestFire's Sherwood Stjohn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save ForestFire from getting a goal against them. When Stephan Nava fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ForestFire's protests and gave Stephan Nava a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, ForestFire's Stephan Nava got a free kick in the 98th minute.
